Business Advising and Training

The Linn-Benton Community College Small Business Development Center provides a host of resources to small businesses in Sweet Home. This includes free one-on-one advising for small business owners and business classes and workshops.

The Business Xpress portal provides a "One Stop Shop for Business" that includes resources for starting, expanding and operating a business in Oregon or relocating a business within or to Oregon.

Loan Programs

The Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments (OCWCOG), which serves Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties, administers several business loan funds. This includes resources available to for-profit and not-for-profit businesses acquiring or improving land; buildings; machinery and equipment; furniture and fixtures; or businesses in need of working capital.

Sweet Home Job Credit Program

The City of Sweet Home administers a program whereby qualified businesses within the corporate limits of Sweet Home that create new jobs may receive a $1,500 credit for each new job ($15,000 maximum). The credit may be applied over a five-year period against fees otherwise due to the City.
