Now Accepting Proposals - Murals on Long Street and Main Street!

Calling all artists! 

The City of Sweet Home is now accepting proposals for potential murals along Main Street and Long Street (exact locations to be determined). Do you have a great idea for some new art downtown and have a plan to execute it? We want to hear from you! 

We have a long history of showcasing our murals in our downtown corridor, and they are treasured here in our community. The City of Sweet Home was just given a sponsorship to pay for paint for murals in our downtown and we want to expand our mural collection by adding 12 additional murals. The Sweet Home Ad Hoc Committee on Arts and Culture is seeking proposals from local artists for the creation of original murals to enhance the beauty and cultural significance of our community. The murals will be displayed on buildings along Long Street and Main Street, contributing to the local identity and reflecting the history and culture of Sweet Home.

The City estimates this project will occur from June of 2024 through October of 2024, but the schedule may vary depending on the weather and types of murals. 

Proposals are due February 15, 2024 by 3:30 PM. The City will host a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting on January 11, 2024 at 3:00 PM to answer any questions that potential respondents may have.
