PW Administration
The specific aim of the Administrative Division is to help policy makers, staff, and citizens make informed decisions about public works.
The primary mission of the Director is to protect the health, safety, and convenience of the community. This is accomplished by:
- Providing policy administration, direction, and management of the overall Department
- Implementing goals and policies by working with other City departments and Public Works divisions
Specific activities of the Director include:
- Reviewing work programs and schedules
- Developing and administering adopted department budget
- Representing the department at civic and governmental levels
- Providing interagency coordination
- Directing preparation of reports and making recommendations on issues of department and citywide significance
